Fiddler On The Roof

Fiddler on the Roof, one of the greatest musicals returns in a new production featuring an all-star cast including Anthony Warlow (Tevye), Sigrid Thornton (Golde), Mark Mitchell (Lazar Wolf), Nicki Wendt (Yente) and making his musical theatre debut is ARIA award winner Lior in the role of Motel.

The roles of Tevye’s five daughters are Teagan Wouters as Tzeitel, Hoddel is performed by Monica Swayne, Jessica Vickers is Chava and making their musical theatre debuts are Madeline Perrone stars as Sprintze and Bielke. Other cast members include Blake Bowden, Andrew Kroenert, Andrew Pepe, Jensen Overend, Sara Grenfell and Derek Taylor.

Prue Bell, Jared Bryan, Zoe Coppenger, Zack Curran, Mark Doggett, Brett Fisher, Matt Douglass, David Hammond, Glen Hogstrom, Jennifer Peers, Matthew Predney, Annie Stanford, Darren Taylor and David Whitney make up the ensemble.

Set in a small Jewish village in Tzarist Russia during 1905, tells the story of Tevye’s attempts to preserve his family values in a changing world despite social change.

Based on Sholem Aleichem’s short story Tevye and His Daughters written by Joseph Stein into a musical.

Fiddler on the Roof’s musical score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick features Tradition, Sunrise Sunset, Matchmaker, To Life and If I Were A Rich Man.

One of the world most loved musicals is currently being performed at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne until 27 February. Following a season in Sydney from 24 March at the Capitol Theatre.
