It tells the story of the first Hollywood musical in 1927 when the silver screen found its voice leaving silent movies behind. Will Kathy Sheldon, a chorus girl fulfill her dreams of stardom and capture Don’s heart along the way?

To achieve the famous Singin’ In The Rain scene, 800 metres of flexible pipe work, a 9000 kilogram water tank and a water system that creates the rain from above as well as flooding from below using over 12,000 litres of recycled water per performance. Audience members in the Splash Zone are provided with ponchos so they don’t leave the theatre a little wetter than when they arrived.

After it finishes raining in Melbourne, it will head to Sydney’s Lyric Theatre from 7 July. Brisbane can enjoy the show from 22 September at the Lyric Theatre, following a season in Adelaide from 1 December at Festival Theatre and it will be performed at Perth’s Crown Theatre from 29 December.
