Sand Sculpturing Australia – A Day At The Zoo

Sand Sculpting Australia has been presenting an exhibition at Frankston Waterfront since 2008.  This year’s theme is A Day At The Zoo.

It showcases the artistic skills of 20 Australian and international sand sculptors.

More than 3,500 tonnes of sand is transformed into sand sculptures.  As you walk through the sand pathways you’ll recognise Monkeys, Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Meerkats, Orangutans, Zebras, Gorillas to name a few.

You may even catch a sight of mythical animals including unicorns, griffins, futuristic creatures and the legendary Loch Ness Monster.

There are paid other activities including sand art and bottles and sand diggers.

The exhibition usually is opened from Boxing Day until the last weekend in April.
