The hilariously side-splitting Avenue Q is returning to Melbourne for a strictly limited
season at Her Majesty’s Theatre from 3 to August, 2016. Avenue Q, is often referred as Sesame Street for adults, but this puppet show is definitely not for kids.
Winner of the TONY® triple crown for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. Music and Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx with the book by Jeff Whitty is based on the original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx.
It follows the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college graduate who arrives in New York City. He can only afford to live in the multicultural neighbourhood of Avenue Q where puppets and humans live together. They experience excessive drinking, moving in and out of the slummy neighbourhood, investing, mix-tapes, cute creatures doing bad things, finding your purpose, falling in love and all other situations you experience in adult life.
Presented by Prince Moo Productions and will be directed by Peter J Snee. Starring Sophie Wright, Ross Hannaford, Lulu McClatchy, Vincent Hooper, Zuleikah Khan, Andrew Hondromatidis, Sun Park, Ben Adams and Amberly Cull.
Avenue Q navigates adult life from a puppet’s point of view – no strings attached. Be prepared for full puppet nudity and vulgarities will induce laughter.
