The whodunnit musical comedy Curtains will be presented by The Production Company at  Arts Centre Melbourne from 20 to 28 August, 2016.

Having it’s Australian professional premiere,  Curtains is set in Boston during 1959 at Opening Night of the musical “Robbin Hood of the Old West”. The leading lady is murdered onstage during the curtain call, the whole cast are suspects. It’s up to police detective Lieutenant Frank Cioffi who loves musical theatre to save the show, solve the case and possibily finding love.


Creators of Cabaret and Chicago Broadway legends John Kander and Fred Ebb wrote the music and lyrics. It’s based on the original book and concept by Peter Stone.

Featuring some of Australia’s best known talent will perform in Curtains which includes Simon Gleeson, Melissa Langton, Colin Lane, Lucy Maunder, Alex Rathgeber, Alinta Chidzey, Jared Bryan, Zoe Coppinger, Stephen Wheat, Nicki Wendt, Simon Maiden, Tony Rickards and John Woods.

Roger Hodgman, the award winning director will be head of the creative team. All performances will feature The Production Company Orchestra which is conducted by John Foreman.
