We Will Rock You

We Will Rock You will return to Melbourne’s Regent Theatre after staging the Australian premiere 13 years earlier.  The production will take place from 30 August to 30 October 2016. 

Based on the songs from British rock band Queen, it features 24 of their biggest hits including “We Are The Champions“, “Radio Ga Ga“, “I Want To Break Free“, “Somebody To Love“, “Killer Queen“, “Don’t Stop Me Now“, “Under Pressure“, “Bohemian Rhapsody“, “Another One Bites The Dust” and “We Will Rock You“.

Written and directed by Ben Elton and produced by John Frost in association with Queen Theatrical Productions, Phil McIntyre Entertainment and Tribeca Theatrical Productions.

This futurist comedy had Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor as music supervisors.

Dave Skelton is the musical director who will also play keyboards.  James Barber and Simon Croft are on guitars, Andrew Swann on drums, Mark Costa on bass, James Mack on percussion.  Also on keyboards are Assistant Music Director Tim Cunniffe and Michael Azzopardi.

Starring Garth Keegan (Galileo), Erin Clare (Scaramouche), Thern Reynolds (Brit), Jaz Flowers (Oz), Simon Marshall (Khashoggi),  Brian Mannix (Buddy) and Casey Donovan (Killer Queen).

The ensemble cast include Justin Anderson, Sheridan Anderson, Erinn Arnel, Michelle Barr, Hugh Barrington, Kyla Bartholomeusz, Sarah Clarke, Keane Fletcher, Scott McConnell, Suzie Melloy, Ruvarashe Ngwenya, Morgan Palmer, Joshua Russell, Ryan Sheppard, Leigh Sleightholme, Ashlee Smith, Thalia Smith, Mike Snell, Kate Thomas and Karla Tonkich.
