Melbourne Symphony Orchestra presents Pixar In Concert

During 2016, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) performed the songs from Dreamworks animated movies.  Now, it’s time to celebrate the music from the Pixar films.  Pixar in Concert will take place at Art Centre Melbourne‘s Hamer Hall on 7 and 8 April.

PixarPixar in Concert brings to life the music from some of Pixar’s iconic films from the Toy Story trilogy, A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, Brave, Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur.

While enjoying the show the music will be accompanied by montages of memorable clips from Pixar’s movie catalogue.

You’ll hear the Grammy and Academy Award winning scores from Randy Newman, Patrick Doyle,  Thomas Newman and Michael Giacchino.

A further update, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be holding a relaxed and autism friendly performance at 10.30am on 8 April.  They are the first company in Australia to host a show like this during their mainstage season.

Benjamin Northey will be conducting all three performances.
